Level 38 - Wires Puzzle, Disk Path, and Mask Code
Level 38
Video Walkthrough
Objective
Unlock the vault by collecting wires and paper clue, solving the wires puzzle to get a battery, navigating a disk through rotating circles to get a mask, entering a four-digit code using letter clues, and adding the mask and batteries to the front face.
Step-by-Step Solution
- Turn to the left side of the safe and look at a panel towards the top
- Open the panel on the left side near the top
- Collect the Paper Clue and some Wires from the opened panel
- Look at a panel lower down on the left side
- Add the Wires to the panel lower down on the left side
- Examine the wires puzzle panel - there is a yellow wire and a blue wire
- The yellow wire will be automatically connected to the top left terminal
- Notice there are four other terminals on the panel
- Tap the four terminals one at a time to connect the blue wire to each terminal
- Each terminal connection will light up one of the lights
- You need to tap the terminals in the correct order
- If you get a red light, you have to start the puzzle again from the beginning
- Continue tapping terminals in the correct sequence until all four lights are on
- When all four lights are lit, the panel will open
- Collect the Battery from the opened panel
- Turn to the back of the safe
- Locate the small disk in the center of the back panel
- Drag the small disk from the center around the lines to the other end
- As you drag the disk along the path, you will reach four circles
- Rotate each of the four circles as you reach them to line them up for the disk to pass through
- Continue rotating the circles and dragging the disk until it reaches the end of the path
- Once the disk reaches the end, a panel opens at the bottom of the right side of the safe
- Turn to the right side and view the opened panel at the bottom
- Collect the Mask from the opened panel
- Look at the panel near the middle of the right side of the safe
- This panel requires a four-digit code
- Notice there is a segment layout with letters that serves as a clue
- Open your inventory and view the Paper Clue
- The Paper Clue shows four sets of letter combinations
- Use the letter combinations from the Paper Clue to determine the four numbers
- Match each letter combination to the segment layout to get the corresponding number
- Enter the four-digit code on the keypad
- After entering the code correctly, the panel opens
- Collect the second Battery from the opened panel
- Turn to the front of the safe
- View the face in the center of the front panel
- Add the Mask to the face in the center
- Look on the left of the center to see a slot
- Add one of the Batteries to the slot on the left side
- Look on the right side of the front of the safe to see another slot
- Add the second Battery to the slot on the right side
- Once both batteries are placed and the mask is added, the door will open
- Collect the Personal Communicator artifact to complete Level 38
💡 Tips & Tricks
- The yellow wire connects automatically to the top left terminal - you only need to connect the blue wire
- For the wires puzzle, tap the terminals one at a time in the correct order - if you see a red light, restart
- The correct order for the terminals will light up all four lights - keep trying different sequences
- When dragging the disk on the back, rotate each circle as you approach it to align the path
- The four circles must be rotated to create a continuous path for the disk
- The Paper Clue is essential for the code - view it in inventory to see the four letter combinations
- Match the letter combinations to the segment layout on the panel to determine the numbers
- Make sure to collect both batteries before trying to place them in the front slots
- The mask must be added to the face before placing the batteries
- Both batteries need to be placed (one on left, one on right) to open the door
⚠️ Common Mistakes
- Not collecting the Paper Clue and Wires from the top left panel first
- Tapping the terminals in the wrong order for the wires puzzle - red light means restart
- Not rotating the circles correctly when dragging the disk - the path must be continuous
- Trying to drag the disk through circles that aren't aligned
- Not viewing the Paper Clue in inventory before trying to enter the code
- Not matching the letter combinations correctly to the segment layout
- Entering the wrong four-digit code - double-check the letter combinations
- Trying to place batteries before adding the mask to the face
- Placing only one battery instead of both batteries
- Not placing batteries in both the left and right slots
Additional Notes
Level 38 presents a complex multi-puzzle challenge involving wire connections, disk navigation through rotating circles, clue-based code entry, and mask/battery placement.
What You'll Learn
- Wire Connection Puzzle: Connecting wires to terminals in the correct sequence
- Disk Path Navigation: Dragging a disk through a path while rotating circles to align
- Letter-to-Number Code Conversion: Using letter combinations and segment layouts to determine numbers
- Mask and Battery Placement: Adding items to specific slots on the front face
- Sequential Puzzle Solving: Completing puzzles in order to collect necessary items
Core Mechanics Introduced
- Wire Terminal Connection: Tapping terminals in sequence to connect wires and light up indicators
- Trial and Error Puzzle: Restarting if incorrect sequence (red light indicator)
- Rotating Circle Alignment: Rotating circles to create a continuous path for disk movement
- Disk Dragging: Dragging objects along paths with obstacles
