Level 20 - Telescope and Compass Puzzle
Level 20
Video Walkthrough
Objective
Open the vault by collecting the gong mallet, solving the maze puzzle to get the telescope, matching tower heights using the telescope, solving the compass puzzle to get the waxed key, melting the key with dragon fire, and aligning line symbols with the lever.
Step-by-Step Solution
- Look at the front of the safe to find a lever mechanism
- Pull the lever to spin the wheels on the front
- When the wheels spin, collect the Gong Mallet that appears
- Turn to the back of the safe and look at the top
- Find a small maze puzzle on the back at the top
- Move the slider in the maze puzzle over to the right side
- When the slider reaches the right side, the maze opens
- Collect the Telescope from the opened maze panel
- You will also see a Gong in this area
- Use the Gong Mallet on the Gong to ring it
- When the gong is rung, the dragon will breathe fire
- View the dragon's head to collect an Eye from the dragon
- Collect the Eye from the dragon
- View the Telescope in your inventory
- You will see four towers of different heights displayed in the telescope
- Note the heights of each of the four towers
- Turn back to the back of the safe
- Look below the gong to find a grid with four points at the bottom
- Tap each point in the grid to lift towers
- Adjust the tower heights to match the heights you saw in the telescope view
- Match all four tower heights correctly
- When the tower heights are correctly matched, collect the Lever
- Collect the Lever from the tower puzzle
- Turn to the left side of the safe
- Look for a red button in the center of a star shape
- Press the red button in the center of the star
- This opens a large panel on the left side
- View the compass that is revealed in the opened panel
- Place the Eye in the center of the compass
- Look at the front of the safe to find a clue
- You will see letters on the front wheel: SWSE
- Turn the compass points according to the clue: SWSE
- Set the compass points to Southwest, Southeast, Southwest, East (SWSE)
- When the compass is set correctly, you can collect the Waxed Key
- Collect the Waxed Key
- Turn to the top of the safe
- Look for the dragon that is breathing fire at the top
- Place the Waxed Key on the dragon that is breathing fire
- The heat from the fire melts the wax coating on the key
- After the wax is melted, collect the Key
- Collect the Key from the melted wax
- Look at the top of the safe to find a circle panel
- Turn the left section of the top circle panel to open it
- This reveals a puzzle board underneath
- Look at the puzzle board - there are two columns
- On the right side there are four fixed line symbols
- On the left side there are four matching symbols that are out of line
- Find the slot on the left side of the puzzle board
- Use the Lever in the slot on the left side of the puzzle board
- Move the lever up and down to align the line symbols on the left with the fixed symbols on the right
- Match all four line symbols correctly
- When all symbols are aligned, the vault opens
- Collect the artifact to complete Level 20
💡 Tips & Tricks
- The lever on the front must be pulled to spin the wheels before the gong mallet appears
- For the maze puzzle, move the slider slowly and carefully to the right side
- The gong must be rung with the mallet before the dragon will breathe fire
- Make sure to view the telescope in inventory to see the tower heights clearly
- The tower heights in the grid must match exactly what you see in the telescope
- Tap each point in the grid to adjust tower heights - you may need to tap multiple times
- The compass clue (SWSE) comes from the front wheel - make sure to check there
- SWSE means: Southwest, Southeast, Southwest, East - set the compass points in this order
- The waxed key must be placed on the dragon while it's breathing fire to melt the wax
- The lever must be placed in the slot before you can move it to align the symbols
- Move the lever carefully to align each symbol one at a time
- All four line symbols must be perfectly aligned for the puzzle to complete
⚠️ Common Mistakes
- Not pulling the lever on the front to spin the wheels and get the gong mallet
- Moving the slider too quickly in the maze puzzle and missing the opening
- Not using the gong mallet on the gong before trying to collect the eye
- Not viewing the telescope in inventory to see the tower heights
- Not matching the tower heights exactly to what's shown in the telescope
- Tapping the grid points incorrectly and not matching the heights
- Not pressing the red button in the star center to open the compass panel
- Not placing the eye in the compass center before trying to set the points
- Not checking the front wheel for the SWSE clue
- Setting the compass points in wrong order - it must be SWSE exactly
- Trying to collect the key before the wax is fully melted by the dragon fire
- Not turning the left section of the top circle panel to reveal the puzzle board
- Not placing the lever in the slot before trying to move it
- Not aligning all four line symbols correctly - they must all match
- Moving the lever too quickly and not aligning symbols precisely
Additional Notes
