Objective

Open the vault by solving the clock hand puzzle, collecting the rotary lever and weight, revealing and entering a four-digit code, pressing roman numeral buttons in sequence, aligning moving rings to get a lever, and using both levers to reveal the final time clue.

Step-by-Step Solution

  1. Look at the front of the safe to find a clock mechanism with a hand
  2. Notice there are card symbols or tiles that need to be matched
  3. Turn the clock hand past the numbers in the correct order to match the tiles
  4. The sequence is: 1, 3, 2, 4, 4, 2
  5. Turn the clock hand to pass each number in this exact order
  6. When the clock hand puzzle is completed correctly, collect the Rotary Lever
  7. Look at the right side of the safe to find a spindle mechanism
  8. Add the Rotary Lever to the spindle
  9. Move the handle connected to the spindle to open a hatch on the right side
  10. Collect the Weight from the opened hatch
  11. Turn to the left side of the safe and look for a small window
  12. Find a hook on the left side near the small window
  13. Place the Weight on the hook
  14. This reveals a four-digit code behind the curtain or window
  15. Note the four-digit code that is revealed
  16. Turn to the front of the safe and look at the bottom
  17. Find the rotary phone dial at the bottom of the safe
  18. Enter the four-digit code using the rotary phone dial
  19. The code to enter is: 7141
  20. After entering the correct code, collect the Key from the dial mechanism
  21. Look above the rotary phone dial to find a keyhole
  22. Use the Key in the keyhole above the dial
  23. This activates a panel with buttons showing roman numerals
  24. Look at the small window on the right side of the safe to see a clue
  25. You will see five Roman numerals displayed in the small window
  26. Press the roman numeral buttons in the order shown in the clue
  27. The sequence is: III, IV, II, I, II
  28. Press each button in this exact order
  29. After pressing the buttons correctly, four rings will start moving on the right column
  30. Look at the right side of the safe to see the four moving rings
  31. Each ring has gaps that need to be aligned
  32. Quickly position each ring so the gaps line up
  33. The rings will continue moving, so timing and precision are important
  34. When all four rings are properly aligned with their gaps lined up, you can collect a Lever from inside
  35. Collect the Lever from the aligned rings
  36. Return to the right side of the safe where there is already one lever present
  37. Add the second Lever you collected to the first lever on the right side
  38. Pull both levers down together
  39. This reveals a time clue that you'll need for the final puzzle
  40. Use the time clue with the clock mechanism at the center of the safe
  41. Complete the final clock puzzle to unlock the vault
  42. Collect the artifact to complete Level 17
